A lot of Granbury-area podcasters are making the same drive every time they record: 45 minutes to Fort Worth, find parking, set up, record, tear down, drive back. Every session costs an hour and a half before you even press record. If that sounds familiar, there’s now a closer option.
The Workplace has Hood County’s only dedicated podcast recording studio, right here on Pearl Street, one block from the Historic Granbury Square. You can book it by the hour, and everything is already set up when you arrive.
What’s Included in Every Booking
The studio is built for people who want to focus on their content, not their equipment. When you walk in, the room is ready. You don’t need to bring anything or know how to configure an audio mixer.
Professional XLR microphones are included and already positioned for up to four guests. Whether you’re recording solo, conducting a two-person interview, or running a panel conversation, the setup handles it without rearranging anything.
A plug-and-play podcast mixer handles the audio routing. If you’ve never touched a mixing board, that’s fine. The controls you need are visible and labeled. If you do have audio experience, everything is accessible.
Studio lighting is included and configured for video podcast recording. If you’re uploading to YouTube, LinkedIn, or Spotify Video, the visual setup is already handled. You don’t need to bring softboxes or spend time adjusting light angles.
Gigabit fiber WiFi supports remote recording platforms including Zencastr, Riverside.fm, and Zipcast, as well as live streaming to YouTube, Spotify, or social media. The connection is stable enough to run cloud-based recording without dropouts.
Complimentary coffee, tea, and drinks are available on-site. Free parking is right outside the door.
Who Uses the Studio
The studio gets booked by a pretty wide mix of people in Hood County.
Local business owners who want to build a podcast around their expertise. Real estate agents, insurance professionals, financial advisors, and attorneys in Granbury and Hood County are all natural fits for shows that serve local audiences.
Established podcasters who’ve been driving to Fort Worth to record. One hour each way adds up fast. If your show is already running, recording here saves you three or four hours per episode without sacrificing production quality.
Organizations creating training or educational content. The four-microphone setup and video capability make it practical for team conversations, course material, and internal communications.
Live streamers who need a more professional environment than their home setup provides. The room is acoustically treated, visually clean, and built for video.
Pricing and Booking
The studio books at $50 per hour, $150 for a half day, or $300 for a full day. No membership is required. You can book a single hour or block out a full day for a recording sprint.
If you’ve never recorded here before, the first session is on us. First-time guests can book up to two hours at no charge. No credit card required, no catch. We run it on the honor system.
Booking is available through the online calendar at The Workplace. You can also call or text (817) 632-8726 if you’d prefer to schedule directly.
One Block from the Granbury Square
Location matters more than people realize for a recording session. When your studio is 45 minutes from home, you tend to rush. You book less frequently, prep less, and treat each session as a bigger deal than it should be.
When the studio is in your own town, it becomes something you can fit into a normal Tuesday. Record in the morning, grab lunch on the Square, and get back to work. That rhythm leads to more consistent publishing, and consistent publishing is what builds an audience.
The Workplace is at 307 W. Pearl Street, Granbury, TX 76048. Parking is free and on-site. If you’ve been putting off starting a podcast or upgrading how you record, this is a reasonable place to start.
While you’re here, the space also includes access to coworking desks, meeting rooms, and part-time private offices if your session runs long or you need a place to work before or after.
